A great opportunity has arisen for anyone who is committed to advocating for and finding solutions to the world's environmental problems.
The SustainUS Agents of Change program is now accepting applications to join the SustainUS youth delegation to the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention and 7th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP17 and CMP7), which will be held in Durban, South Africa, from November 28 to December 9, 2011. Delegates will work with each other and with international youth in advance of the conference to educate themselves and their communities, develop policy priorities, acquire skills in effective lobbying, and engage the broader youth population in action related to international climate policy.
I was an Agent of Change for COP15 in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009. Joining the program changed my life in more ways than one. It solidified my passion for environmental causes, allowed me to build a network of fellow environmentalists around the country and the world and lead me to write for Planet Harmony. If you have any experience working for environmental causes, I highly recommend checking SustainUS out.
Download the application by going to SustainUS.
Applications are due Friday, June 3rd by 5:00 pm EST
